The Ames City Council begins at 6:00 PM Sept 15th. The agenda includes items:

• 3. Land Use Policy Plan Update. The pressure on housing in the City of Ames over the past 5 years has increased. A large jump in student enrollment in conjunction with research park expansions is yielding high demand for high-density housing, where the LUPP had no new lands for such activities. Phase I of the LUPP update will address these new short-term pressures, while Phase II will be a much broader process occurring in the next 5 years to address community land use needs through 2040.
