Hi Friends,

I hope everyone has been enjoying the perfect, summer weather in Ames over the last week.  Tuesday's meeting was fairly short at just around two hours with only a couple of agenda items getting much discussion.  It was interesting discussion though, with the City Council divided on a proposed student apartment development in West Ames.  See below for details.

Thanks for reading and have a safe and fun Fourth of July.

Hi Friends,

I love Ames in the summer.  The town seem a little sleepier, things move a little slower, and friends and family can gather at a gamut of activities.  The sun hangs on till well past 9PM and even after a three hour City Council meeting the day still feels full of opportunity.  I hope everyone is enjoying summer in Ames as much as I do.

Thanks for reading,
