I was unable to attend the City Council meeting last Tuesday as I was volunteering to sell basketball programs at the last ISU Men's game to raise funds for my ten year old daughter's dance team.  But thanks to technology, and a great behind the scenes crew at City Hall, I was able to watch a video recording of the meeting the following day.  I can also go back and view previous meetings if necessary.  It is quite a valuable resource you might not know about.

There is a special Ames City Council Long Range Goal Setting meeting on Saturday January 14th, 8:30 at the Parks and Recreation Administration Office (1500 Gateway Hills Park Drive, see map).  This is a public meeting. All are welcome to attend.

Hello Friends,

I was out of town for work this week and unable to attend the City Council meeting.  I did have several friends in attendance who reported it was a full house thanks to several big items on the agenda including a discussion about the redevelopment of the Old Middle School property on State Street.  I have reviewed the video of the meeting and have added some comments to the issues below.
